Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Avionics Systems Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and test avionics systems for rockets, satellites, and aerospace platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of embedded systems, control electronics, communication protocols, and aerospace safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and optimize avionics system architecture for aerospace applications, including hardware and software components.
  • Work on the integration of flight control systems, navigation modules, sensors, and communication units.
  • Conduct simulation, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, and environmental qualification of avionics systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues during prototyping, testing, and production stages.
  • Prepare technical specifications, design documents, and test reports in compliance with aerospace standards.
  • Collaborate closely with propulsion, mechanical, and software teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Ensure designs meet DO-178C, DO-254, and MIL-STD requirements for aerospace safety and reliability.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in avionics system design, integration, and testing.

Technical Skills

  • Embedded systems and microcontroller programming (C/C++/Python)
  • FPGA and DSP-based system design
  • PCB design and hardware debugging
  • Familiarity with avionics communication protocols (ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, CAN Bus)
  • Sensor integration (IMUs, GPS, pressure sensors)
  • Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW, Altium Designer, or equivalent CAD tools
  • Understanding of aerospace safety, EMI/EMC compliance, and environmental testing standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with rocket avionics or satellite bus systems
  • Hands-on experience in flight data acquisition systems
  • Familiarity with telemetry, tracking, and command systems
  • Certification or training in aerospace systems engineering
